|  | |  |  |  | | | The Nevada Brewers Guild is a 501(c)(6) non-profit business league that exists to unite and promote the local breweries, and to bring customers who want to find and drink our great Nevada beers. We produce and participate in four types of local events and beer festivals. Here are the descriptions...
The first is NBG “Members Only Events”. There are two of these that are six months apart, the NBG Battle for the Belt in June and the NBG Winter Ale Festival in December.
The second type expands the roster to be known as “USA Brewers Guilds Events”. Typically, these include brewers from our close neighboring states, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona and Colorado. Hawaii, Alaska and New Mexico are also invited to participate. The NBG hosts two of these events annual, the Holiday Festival in November, and the Stop the Resolution! - 1st Beer of the Year Festival, the last weekend in February.
Entrance to these four events is free with a canned or boxed food donation, which goes to the Nevada Food Banks, or a cash donation which will go to the Nevada Libraries, our two favorite charities.
The third type of event is described as a “NBG Tent Event”. In this instance, the guild participates as a vendor, purchasing a space at the event, staffing it, and supplying a rotating selection of NBG members beers. These events are held at a variety of local locations and include many private parties, corporate meetings, food festivals, wine walks, tradeshows and conventions.
The fourth type of event for NBG members are “Special Events” held by individual organizations. There are over a dozen events that fit this description. Lee’s Beer Experience, MonteLago Craft Beer Festival, Barleys’s Brewfests, The Las Vegas Beer Festival, Eldorado BBQ Brews & Blues Festival, The LVIBF, a variety of different Oktoberfests, Reno’s Canfest, and several other Nevada celebrations held each year. NBG members are free to be in any event that they want to attend without limitation.
