Michael Pfohl moved to Nevada in the new millenium after hanging ten on two waves of the Oregon craft beer revolution. While living in Portland he participated in many brewery openings, events and festivals - balancing his life in architecture, product design and production management. As a beer lover with a background in design and development, he recognized that Nevada was ready to be "Oregonized" and grow by unifying the brewing community with the expanding, beer loving population.
First came the Nevada Brew Crew, a club dedicated to having an annual Las Vegas Beer Festival, and staffing other future local events. Next was running the Nevada Beer Lovers groups on the MeetUp.com network, which has a variety of events every month - currently over 200 in the first 3 years. Finally, the professional level of the three organizations is the Nevada Brewers Guild. Working on the national advertising, marketing and promotion of the "NBG" is his dream job and a great benefit to the breweries, local beer scene and thousands of beer drinkers who visit our state every year!

He has been a Columnist for Celebrator Beer News since 1998, covering the state of Nevada, and authors the Nevada Beer Nuggets column. He is an Associate Editor of Food & Beverage News of Las Vegas, and writes beer and restaurant columns titled "What's Brewing" and "What's Cooking". Bob is also a frequent contributor to Nevada Magazine and has published interviews of talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and Palms Owner George Maloof. Landru Archons is an avid Star Trek fan (the original series) and proud to be a crew member of this "Enterprise". When not part of the machine, to avoid the "lawgivers" he never "speaks in strange whispers" and will tell you where the best brews are. As a local beer lover, he is often "of the body" waiting for the clock to hit "the red hour". Look for him celebrating at "the festival" offering his favorite cheer: "Joy to YOU - friend!"
