THE BREWERS...

Brewmaster: Joe Picket is an internationally known Brewmaster and brewery designer, who has built breweries around the world. He and his family brewery were recognized by Benchly in Esquire Magazine as the "Best Beer in America". Joe was featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal, recognized on 60 Minutes and appeared in Time Magazine, and the Brewers Digest. He was the technical C.O/Chairman (with Jeff Coors) of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas, the most prestigious beer publication in the world.

He was the vice president of the internationally famous brewing school and consulting firm, Siebel Institute of Technology. Famous graduates include August Busch, August Pabst and John Stroh. His professional career includes owning his own brewery, being General Manager of G. Heilman Brewing Company, General Manager of Pabst Brewing, Pearl Brewing, and the Old English Olympia Brewing Company.

He built the second microbrewery in the USA after Fifty Masters, the first microbrewery in Chicago. He built the Millstream Brewing Company and formulated 2 gold medal winners and one silver medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival. After designing and building Ellis Island Brewery in 1998, Joe is now head of our entire Food & Beverage operation as Executive Director. All this and he runs marathons too...

BEERS ON TAP...

American Style Lager: This beer is made with two types of malt, rice and 9 varieties of hops. A delicate and tasty lager made in America.

Light: A classic light beer made in the American tradition. Excellent taste, light and very easy to drink.

Dark: Not to be confused with "bock" beer; a rich, smooth, malty, full-bodied flavor.

Amber: A distinctive amber ale that contains a lot of hops-a European taste.

Hefeweizen: Made with wheat and malt, a light, effervescent drink with the yeast left in the beer. Served with a slice of lemon.

Root Beer: An old-fashioned, all natural, real "brewed" Root Beer. This will remind you of the old Root Beer stands - it's the Best! Or, try our homemade Root Beer Float!
